Hey guys i have a 1986 bayliner capri. I usually put my trolling motor on the back of the boat by the engine. However that was on my old boat on the new one which is the capri i cannot do this. Not enough room in the splashwell. So i was wondering if there is some sort of mount that will bolt to the outside of the transom and allow me to hook the trolling motor up back there? I even thought about adding a bow mount system but there doesnt appear to be enough room up in the front for a addition like that. Thanks guys.

Re: Trollling motor question

Ty honker, however everything has been put on hold until most likely next year, she just had our baby and now we are at the hospital getting ready to head home, she told me that i can still go out this year but she is also convinced nothing will change and it will all be back to normal in a month or so. I still havent stopped laughing inside at that statement. I know better from the first wife. I had it suggested to me by a fellow boating buddy that i get one of the trolling motors that bolt to the top of the lower unit, so i will probably save up for one of those. Thanks again.

Still trying to figure a sure thing for a bowmount on mine, but the swimstep looks awful tempting for a mount placement also. Bowmount has all the better handling posts though. Just a thought, You could put some fins on that new addition and put him/her on the outdrive.

Haha i already got into trouble when the doc said almost 10 lbs i asked if i could put my thumb in its mouth and hold him up like a fish for the pic. So i dont want to push my life to that far of a chance of death. But thanks for the good idea.
