I work with one local PD (not Sworn) and volunteer with another and do ride alongs quite a bit. Most of the patrol officers will run you. If you come back clean, warning, if not cite. If you have 3 or more cites they will slam you. Traffic and motor officers live to write cites. They will right you 80% of the time. <br /><br />AzFyrFyter....... So your the one!!!!!!

Heh - I got my first speeding ticket yesterday. There were two cops on the side of the road just pulling people over. According to his radar, I was going 65 in a 45. He didn't write me up for reckless (whew)... when he asked me why I was going so fast, I said "Sorry..just wasn't paying attention and keeping up with traffic I guess.."<br /><br />They had two more people pulled over by the time he gave me my ticket and sent me on my way.<br /><br />I think I'll go to court though .. not because I don't deserve it, but because I want to ask for them to not put points on my license!

Maybe he stopped you because he thought the tub was a "Hot" tub..<br /> LAST SEEN : Stollen tub in fast truck going 75 in 55 headed South.. All officers please approach with caution, he maybe an iboats member..

Stop In Tenn about 3 weeks ago, realy over the limit, He seen retired militay tag, ask about this , showed him ID card, He turn around walk off, said slow down, have a nice day. Did not give me enough time to think him. Made my day, and I slowed down.

I had always wanted to try this and last year I had the chance. Got pulled over coming down a mountain in West Virginia and was blazing along at 82 in the reduced 60 mph zone. I was literally coasting but it was a very steep grade. Anyway, the trooper pulls me over and asks me for my license. I give him that and the registration and he strolls back to his car. I'm sitting there knowing I'm getting a ticket so what do I have to lose? He eventually comes back up to the window and asks me if I'm headed home. Yep I tell him. I'd been on vacation and I'm just headed back. He then asks me why I'm in such a hurry to get back from vacation. I looked him in the eye and said, "My wife is going to get pregnant tonight and I want to be there when she does." He paused for a second and told me that joke was so old he was surprised I'd repeated it. However, he was also impressed that I had the guts to use it too. He gave me a quick dissertation on speed and getting home to my then unpregnant wife. I was shocked but thankful. <br /><br />That's the ONLY ticket I've ever gotten out of. <br /><br />UFM82

I did this one: I was 19 and got pulled over in Dunsmire. Only 3m over the speed limit. I told the officer that it was my time of the month and looking for a place to go. He pointed me to the nearest local store in town. He gave me one of those warnings, let me go. Did I stop at the store, no. I kept going.. I got pulled over again coming into Weed by another one. 2m over posted speed limit. This time I told him I had to take a pee, he too let me go and said town is just at the next stop.. Did I stop? Nope.. Now this time I am doing the posted 55. I see this patrol sitting off to the side of the road and passed by him safely.. After about 3miles up the road, I went about the traffic speed, because everyone was passing me at 60.. I got pulled over in Yreka again by the officer I passed a few miles back.. At least this time he was laughing.. Now I'm going to get a ticket for sure... Nope, he told me next time I tell an officer that I am in need of a store because I am having a lady day, it would be in my best interest to stop at the store and not keep going.. My face got so red and I could of died right there.. He gave out a chuckle and told me to have nice trip ... Bad thing is that there was a group of truckers that most of passed me 3-times, because one guy approached me at the gas stop in Oregon and asked, how many tickets did I manage to get? NONE and I really don't want to talk about it...

Yeah, I never had any luck with unbuttoning the top two buttons either.<br />I got passed, back in 1991, by a CHP on I-10. <br />I was going 115 mph !!!!! So I kicked it on up to 125 mph <br />Saw them pulling people over right after the exit I needed. Never did get a ticket for that one.<br /><br />I did get pulled over on the "Will Rogers" Turnpike in 1988, only ticket on my record. 76 in a 65 only cost me $76, my how times have changed. Good thing I slowed down!!!<br /><br />AK Chappy
