Sorry so long, I wanted to include all info.

I have a 1995 115hp Yamaha that I had trouble with bogging down at high speeds. I rebuilt carbs and the engine fired right off and ran great at all speeds for a couple of trips out and then went back to bogging. So I cleaned carbs again thinking they clogged again and that was the case. It ran good again after second cleaning. So I put in a water/fuel separator filter. Now the engine runs great once I get it started but I takes a good bit of turning over to get it started. So much that it comes close to draining my battery. I took it out this past weekend and had the same problem. It took a while to get it started but once it started it ran great. I shut the engine down and then started it again immediatly and it fired right up. So I killed it and started fishing. After fishing for about two hours I tried to move to a new location and I had the same trouble starting the engine again. Before installing the filter, I barely would turn the key in this same situation and the engine would fire right up.

Well finally to my question. Does it sound like I am flooding the carb or does is sound like the carb is not getting enough gas?

I do pump on my bulb until it is good and hard and I give it about 1/4 throttle (in neutral) and pull the choke when I am first starting for the day. But I used to be able to just turn the key for the rest of that day no matter how long it sat while I was fishing. Now I have to do that start up procedure everytime I start it if it sat for longer than a 1/2 hour.

I have good tight clamps on my new filter so I don't think air is getting in at the new filter. Does it take a while to get the air out of the line after installing the filter or was I supposed to bleed the line when I installed it. If I was supposed to bleed it how should I go about doing that?
