I just bought a 78 evinrude 35 with control cables detached and got the throttle side connected ok, but not sure how to reconnect engine end of cables. Looking for diagram or instructions.
You will have 3 hookups, throttle, shift and electrical to the motor. Which one are you having trouble? If you have the correct cables they should snap right on if the mounting brackets that hold the cable stationary are on the motor.
fairly new at this forgive me for sounding like a greenhorn!! Its the throttle and shift, electrical ok. The brackets are there on motor that hold cable in front of where it attaches, but for the life of me cant figure out how to attach to actual thottle and shifter.
