hi i'm new to boats and motors so any help would be greatly appreciated i have a small boat with a 9.8 mercury motar and i don't seem to be able to get it started when i bought it the guy who sold it to me started it up and i heard it run so i know it's just me and not the motor also i have not run it yet this year if that help's. any tips would be helpful

Hook the fuel up to the engine. Squeeze the bulb up hard. Pull the engine over once, then pull the choke out or turn the knob...depending on year. Pull the engine over until it fires..then push the choke in. If it stalls...it should start on the next pull.<br /><br />TMD
