trying to figure out all these wires

I am in the process of figuring out all these wires and what they all go to.I have a 1987 stratos 179sx and i bought it and it was completely gutted so now im wondering if anyone could help me and tell me where all my controls go on the dash and up front by the trolling motor.i still have the 5 switchs that go on the dash but none that go up front. I dont know what those are suppose to control maybe the bilge and the livewells??/any help will be app. thats guys.

Here's the ABYC color code for marine wiring. Some have changed since your model was put into production. At least possibly a starting point for you.

Other than a nav light I don't know that there would be anything up front that needed a switch.

The trolling motor should be wired straight to the battery.

Is anything on the boat wired?

Are you looking at a dash with no wires to it?

If so it would be easier to pull what wires you can get out and start over, then you know what goes where.

Do you have any experience wiring?

Don't make this tougher than you have to. Since you are essentially starting over, make the switches do what YOU want them to do. If you have a live well, it needs a switch. If you have a bilge pump, it needs a switch. If you have a horn, it needs a switch. Get the picture? Then there's Navigation lights, perhaps a master ON/OFF switch, courtesy lights, etc.
