Trying to find yr.on a SeaKing motor

I've just picked up a SeaKing o/b and trying to find out the year.The mod.# is
K7503108D , Type-XTV52207A, Hp-7.5.
Any info would be greatly helpful.

That's a 1974 7.5 hp. It has a Clinton powerhead. The model number actually starts with a K, not an X.

Hmm...a 33 year old Clinton-based outboard is no prize. Parts are difficult to find, and the engines are noisy, vibrate a lot, and don't push your boat as well as an equivalent OMC or other major outboard.

They're cheap, though. If yours runs OK, then use it until something breaks on it. If it's an easy part to find, fix it and use it some more.

There are a bunch of them out there, so finding another one as a parts donor isn't a bad idea.

Bottom line is that it's old and it was never much of an outboard to start with. If it suits you, use it as long as you can keep it running.

Water should mist out the relief holes in the leg.
Fuel mix is 48:1 use any quality 2 stroke oil.

Thank you forthe info.I just picked up this motor for my 1st boat,it's a 1965 14'Seaking.I plan on selling it because I picked up another boat.I figured it might help it sell faster.
