Hello forum. I'm looking for info on my new purchase. Boat originally had a Merc 5.7. Looking today with a boroscope I see a repower badge. Serial number 92005449. date 08312004. Bore OS .030 Thrust width STD This SN number is not recognized when I enter for parts search. Can anyone verify this number and ID my engine? What horsepower does it have and does that change much with a over bore of 030. Thanks for any help w/this

The repower serial numbers are harder to lookup. I think you need special access to look them up.

Do you happen to see a model number somewhere on the engine or paper work?

You may have to call Merc customer service with the serial number if you can't locate the model number...AKA engine part number like mentioned in the following past posts/topics,

OK I finally was able to make out/read model number. 807447R5 It has a 12 bolt intake so this is not a Vortec correct?

a generic rebuild with .030 over pistons does not add any hp.
