Trying to identify motor

Have a mariner 115hp with serial number 0D042802 trying to figure out what year it is. Was at the local boat dealer today and they couldn't even tell me! Not sure if they are just withholding the information or what. Thanks in advance of any info./help.

Thanks what does the ELPTO stand for? And is there a list online that I just couldn't seem to find? I have no problem finding out Johnson/Evinrude stuff but this is my first Merc/Mariner and couldn't seem to find anything.

Yes there are many Merc serial number lists and wesite searches that one could use to find a certain amount of info for each engine model.
