Re: TS Edouard, what ya doing LF
Thanks y'all.
I spent much of the day prepping the staff and children to shelter-in-place, there was no need to evacuate. At home, we took the usual precautions and battoned down the hatches and stayed. Right now the winds are not much above 40 mph and we are getting quite a bit of rain but we were spared from the brunt of the storm.
Traffic coming in to work today was basically non-existent and I'm sitting here at work and not another soul has come in yet. LOL In fact the front of the building is still boarded up. There is a little minor street flooding and our tides never reached the level expected.
It was a welcome sight this morning to see that we were spared the effects of the storm with the exception of some much needed rain. Having it come ashore east of us is always the best case scenario since it usually has the least amount of wind and rain.
Most of this should be over with in a few hours and things can get back to normal. If nothing else, going through the preparations to shelter-in-place is always a good exercise since it will better prepare us for future events.
