I have this stratos 16' with a 40 2 stroke..... now was told I could possibly tow a tube with this and that I would attach the the tube rope to the transom tie down eye lets. those eyelets are below the water line when underway, shouldn't they be above there water line or does it make a difference?

Are the eyelets still underwater when you are planing or just when going slowly? In smaller boats that plane most (if not all) of the transom is out of the water when going at speed.
