Hi - new to this forum, recently purchased an old 14R w/ a Nissan 25hp. Runs well, and I expect it's plenty strong to pull my kids on a tube. Any suggestions on how to set the motor trim, mindful the bow will be kicked up a bit? I've never towed a tube on a boat this small. I have a cleat on each side of the transom, plan to tie lines there. Thanks. Looking forward to learning more about these boats, should be a great one for our family.

Re: tubing w/ a 14R

Welcome aboard Andy.

If they are cleats on the gunnels, they may not hold up to too much stress. If you have hooks/eyes through your transom you should be fine.

Ive never pulled a tube, so Im not sure what tilt would be best for you. Id see how it tows as is, then try altering the tilt to see what works best.

Good luck and hope you guys have tons of fun tubing.
