I've been noticing that my engine is not running as smoth as it was last year. When I go at full throtle and then slow down, it dies; when I try to restart the engine smells rich.
A tune up was performed 2 years ago (100 Hours ago)I pulled one spark plug and it looks good (I need to look at all of them to see if there's an even burn) but what I'm suspecting, and I'm not sure, is what type of spark plug this engine takes.
Any tips are welcome,
thanks
Gustavo.

I have same engine, it is as easy as going to autopart store, NAPA and bringing a plug with you. They will hook you up. Dont bother with platinump splitfire plugs, etc. Gap for that engine is .035, so make sure you set that before you reinstall.

I wish I could help you out on the preffered/optimal plugs, I have manual for my boat at home. I dont usually go for the gimmick high end plugs/parts. If it produces a good strong spark and your gap is correct you should be fine. Most likely taking a plug to the store, they can hook you up with OEM plugs or the same ones you had in there. Maybe someone else has some opinions on what spark plugs to buy, but a spark is a spark and if your gap is set correctly and it ignites the fuel, the rest is a moot point.
