boat has not idled for some years. today i rebuilt carb and im not sure about how to tune, just seems like there is not much to tune. help! the carb is a mercruiser 1389- 9562
set idle 500-600 rpms and turn idle screw in (do not crank it down or you will ruin it and or the carb) and back it out for smooth idle. Re set idle speed and re adjust mix screws. lather, rinse and repeat as needed. You will not be able to set the idle mixture over 900 rpms.
