I recently purchased a turning point express 14.25 x21 stainless prop. I was running a 14 1/4 x 21 pitch black max alum on a 2005 Glastron sx175 with a 3.0 mercruiser. WOT was 44-45mph at 4900 rpm. With the express stainless, I only ran 44-45mph and RPM dropped to 4500. Bow lift and handling was great, slow hole shot and low rpm.Has anyone else had similar findings with these props? Or any other reccomended prop for my set up that may give a few more mph? I assume the drop in rpm is due to very agressive rake and cupping. I now run a 19 pitch stainless express and run 45 mph at 4800 rpm with great acceleration and lift. Any input appreciated.
