Does anyone know if a Turning Point prop 14.25 by 23 pitch prop would fit on my Alpha one outdrive?

Thanks!

Re: Turning point prop

Thanks Tractoman! Do I have to buy the hub kit or should it come with it? Are these good props and will it work well compared to my stock 21 pitch mercruiser prop? I'm running at 5000rpm WOT which is my max...I figure a 23 should bring it down 2-300rpm is my thinking correct?

I doubt it will come with the hub kit, but depending on the prop, they are reported to use merc hub kits too. It should drop the rpm a little. Don't know about the TP props but I have read they are pretty decent.

Thanks! Would you run a 23p lazer 2 stainless on a alpha one out drive with a 5.0 mpi on a 202 crownline? I've heard there designed more for outboards?

I have no idea about that set up. Depends on your max rpm's at wot and how the boat is performing.

Since it's listed in the prop section for the Alpha 1(prop # 2150 2311, hub #501) we must assume it will fit.

The iboats price($141.10) includes the hub kit. When you go to check out, you'll see the prop shell and the hub listed separately with the total amount of $141.10.

Adding 2 inches of pitch should change rpm by 300-400 rpm(150-200 per inch of pitch).

Re: Turning point prop

I've got several turning point hustler props that size. The stock "Black Max" mercruiser prop of the same pitch will spin faster due to it lacking the same design features such as the cupping you will see on the hustler. The Hustler however is able to be trimmed up way farther and still bite. I'm amazed how high it can be trimmed by comparison at wot.

Yes, if I could turn it in the proper rpm range and my goal was top speed. They're a fast prop but not particularly good for holeshots or midrange performance.
