TV Remote...HELP

I know you guys and your remotes..... maybe you can help me.<br /><br />This has happened before and I can usually push enough buttons to make it come back on but my TV won't come on. I must have pushed the wrong button before I turned it off last night. The on button is on for the TV and the Cable box but no matter what button I push I can't get a station, just a blue screen.<br /><br />This is frustrating. Any suggestions?

Is there a mode button on the remote that says TV?If so,may need to push it first.List what TV brand and model you have and someone may have that very one.Do you have a manual for the one you have?

sounds like you have it on video. Try the video (mode)button.<br /> Not sure though, I usually have to hand it over to my wife to get it straightened out.

Try changing the input. It sounds like you may have your tv on one of the video inputs, the button might say input or tv/video.

HAHAHAHAHA I finally got it. I checked the mode on the cable box like you said and the remote light kept flashing, then I noticed the dang DVD player power button was on. I turned it off and a station came on. HAHAHAHA<br /><br />Boy, do I feel stupid. LOL <br /><br />Thanks y'all. See I knew you guys would know.

post a picture of the remote and I'm sure we can figure it out. But what the heck, if you gotta get up to get the camera anyway you can just use the dial on the TV. NO, wait TV's don't have dials anymore do they.

What you need there is a 10 year old to explain it, LF.<br /><br />I read the manual on my new cellphone until the letters were worn and surfed the menus until it told me to stop playing with it and take it to Mom.<br /><br />I still couldn't get the speakerphone feature to work. <br /><br />I handed it to a grandbuddy and he had it working in 30 seconds. Then it took him 5 minutes to teach me how.

JB When I was in my 20's I could never understand why my Dad didn't want NEW things. Now that I'm in my late 40's my kids can't understand why I don't want new things like ipods and wireless routers,picture phones and other things that I don't even know what they are for. They just all seem so unnecessarily complicated.
