Ok guys, am a complete newby on boats, but was given a 30' CC midnight Express(Scarab style) boat. It has twin 200HP, 1987 models, with 400 hours. They sat for 10 years. They were fogged, and they still have oil in cylinders. Now I am a motorcycle/car style backyard mechanic, and have rebuilt motors, especially on bikes. All the relays are shot, rusted. Pulled the carbs, rebuild them. got the tilt/trim motors working with some new style electronic relays. Going to replace the relay for the starters. Found a bearing above water pump was binding and will order a new one, there was no Anode, so got to get thoose. Paint in engine is flaking off.
Any ideas would be helpful, things to look for before firing one of theese beasts up.

First step, get a genuine Yamaha manual for your specific engine. Replace thermostats, spark plugs, water pump. Post the exact model numbers of the engines so you can get the correct parts and that way the year can be verified.
