I currently have a 1990 Donzi f25 cc with same year Johnson 140 loopers... My issue is that it takes quite a while to get on a plane, and of I have passengers they need to go to the bow to bring the nose down and get on a plane with motors trimmed down and stabilizers down. Also, wot rpm is only 4500 rpms @ 35mph gps.... I just recently found out it has the v6 lower units with 15x17 props... What would be a smaller prop I can install to have a better holeshot, as well as I would assume it would increase top speed if I would get an extra 1000 rpm??

I would be making sure both engines are in good shape. Compression tests, Ignition firing on all cylinders, Throttle linkages properly adjusted, before messing with the props

I'm right there with jimmbo in that something sounds "amiss" at least. I had one of those motors on a 19' Glasstream older glasser and my 140 would pop that thing up on plane what felt like instantly. My boat was no where near as big as yours, but you've got two of them pushing you. How heavy is your boat and are you sure you're not carrying around a lot of extra "water weight"?
