vmax,<br /><br />You should allow space all around the tank for expansion and "sweating", my tank (Tempo 30 gal), they suggest using tie down straps (the ones they sell touch the tank in 6 places where they have provided notches), you provide 6 points of support underneath (each corner and two in the middle). According to the manual, the tank will expand up to 1" in length and width.<br /><br />Also (I don't know if this is Coast Guard recommended or not, but this is what I have been told by a few people), you should allow for inspection of the tank all the way around. I am leaving a rather large removable hatch for that and in case I have to ever replace the tank, I don't have to cut another hole in the deck.<br /><br />Peace.<br /><br />Ed.

No, i have garantee on my tank. But when you foam it in, no garanty anymore. You may not foam tanks at his place!

yeah ,,pretty much no ..<br /><br />tempo instructions say not to.. it'll cause major condensation in the tank..

Actually you can but only aluminium tanks. AND the foam must be of 4 pound density or better.
