two plastic flaps under back seats?

I have a 1993 four winns 190 Horizon. Under the two back seats it has two plastic flaps that are in hinges buy do not lock in place. What is their purpose?

Hard to tell what I'm looking at. Maybe take a pic farther away for perspective. Perhaps some sort of support piece to hold up optional seating, or walk thru cushion. You can view a 1993 catalog on fourwinns site. It may help.
