I have a 1963 40HP Evinrude Model 40352. What is the proper oil / gas mix for this motor..?

Should I look at a 2 bladed prop to get more top speed, or play with the pitch on the standard three blade..?

Re: Two quick questions...

That's actually not such an easy question!
The '63 40hp originally came out at 24:1. In '64 the new 40hp was rated at 50:1 - but without making any changes in that particulair engine that anyone can find. So really the choice is up to you. See the oil mix FAQ in the FAQ forum for details. Read the Decarb FAQ while you're at it. ;)
The only two-bladed props I see these days on Ebay to fit your 40hp are bronze - which are heavy and wears out your gearcase surprisingly quickly. I suggest you focus on getting the engine setup and tune up first. Your best investment at this point is a tach so you can monitor your performance. A tinytach from www.tinytach.com works great.
