TX HIN number

i have a 1967 ouachita jon boat and the boat has no serial number or hin number imprinted on the boat. i do have the original serial number on old registration card.

my question is does it need to have serial number stamped on boat since it is before the 1972-1973 law that requires boats to have the hin number on boat.

Welcome to iboats.

If you have the old serial number........ get it stamped into a metal plate and attach it to the boat.

The older boats used to have it on a tin plate glued onto the boat and often fell off. I am not surprised it has happened to a 43 YO boat!!
