type of fluid?

What type of fluid do I use for the tilt n trim motor on a 88 evinrude E40TTLCCS? the previous owner gave me a bottle of hydraulic fluid is that right? or flush it and use ATF?

I was hoping someone would respond to your other thread. I'm not sure but, it's ATF type II, or III? Somebody will know this.
I just use Bombardier TNT fluid in my big motors.

I have read that Dexron II or Dexron III ATF works fine.
Even the factory manual says its ok...

They are correct sir. OMC manual says dexron2 ATF.
