As this will be my first winterization of an I/O and reading all the posts about it, I have come to the conclusion that filling the tank before storage is a very good idea. My question is what type of stabilizer does everyone use?
In my reading I have found pro's and con's on both "stabil" and "sea foam" or is their another better suited for winter storage. Both products indicate a max of three months then other problems could occur. Open to any and all suggestions, thanks in advance.

Re: type of fuel stabilizer

I use StaBil. I'm pretty sure it's good for a year, double the conc for 2yrs storage time. I add StaBil, make sure it mixes, then run on the muffs to make sure the whole fuel system has treated fuel prior to draining and pulling hoses, etc.

Sta-bil works fine. You can use the red or the marine version that is blue.
Seafoam is ok but not really meant as a fuel stabilizer.
I know it says it on the can but i have had 2 year old gas treated heavy with Sta-bil and it still ran fine.
