U-BOLTS close to frame

Installed new 3500 axel, installed fine, u-bolts and nuts went on fine, used thread locker "red", no problems, bolts sticking up towards frame,, little to close for my taste, bout 2-3 inch clearance, dont want bounce to cause bolt hitting frame,, could cut off near two inches of bolt,,, any problem doing that? maybe stupid question, maybe not..

cant do that,,,they are on with loctite red,,, only torch will get em off now,, I just cut em,,, if the bolts touch the frame now the leaf springs will be flat.. Im good,,,,,fixed
