No such thing as UL77JC4.

The original plugs were UL77V which are surface gap plugs with an auxillary gap. They are what you will find listed in the parts catalogues

The later recommendations are for conventional plugs. Either L77JC4 or QL77JC4. The former is un-suppressed the latter has inductive suppression developed specially for OMC outboards. ( either should be gapped at 0.030")

On the basis that the recommendation has changed I would opt for either L77JC4 or QL77JC4 rather than the original surface gap plugs.

OMC recommended Champion plugs but if you must use NGK the link in kbaits post gives you the equivalents.

What ever you do don't use ordinary resistor suppressed plugs such as NGK BR7HS-10. They are not suitable alternatives to the Champion Q plugs.

"Q" plugs are not resistor plugs as suggested in kbaits link they are inductively suppressed. The equivalent NGK plugs are those with Z in the number.
