Hey Guys... got a 2005 F90. I was at cruise the other day ( about 23 mph) when I had my engine go full tilt up uncommanded. I could not get the motor to go back down with the toggle switch on the throttle. I cut the engine and could still here trim motor running. I pulled the power lead off the battery. I then waited about 1 min. and reconnected the lead.
Tilt motor came back on. Did this one more time, and everything reset to normal. I checked on connections both on the engine tilt switch, and on the throttle tilt switch. All seemed good. Any Ideas? Also which is the master and which are the slaves? Is the master switch on the engine and the slaves the remote toggles, IE Throttle toggle switch. My Guess is that the Master is on the engine. The one on the right side just below the Cowl. Thanks so much for any help. Have not been able to reproduce. I hate eletrical problems..

Re: uncommanded Tilt -up

I would say the switches are paralleled , so that either one will work the T&T but neither one will over ride the other. Could be a short in the wiring or a switch going bad. Look at the wiring closely and the connectors for something that could short or bridge across.
If it happens again you may try disconnecting the main harness at the motor and see if it will stop it and isolate the problem to the front controls and wiring or the controls and wiring on the motor.
