I feel like a jackass but here it goes. I have a 25hp johnson 1982 motor I was sitting my hammock looking at my motor tilted up and was pissed on the phone and started tossing some small stone at the motor. I noticed that one went into the underwater exhaust and water outlet. IS THIS SEALED? Can a stone get up there a do some damage? I tilted the motor down and nothing came out. What the hell did I just do???? Anyone help would be great.

It'd take one helluva backfire to pull that stone into the powerhead. The gears are sealed inside, so it can't possibly get in there. You should have no problem. It'll flush out the next time you run it. Just don't turn it upside down or anything silly like that.

Why were you mad at the motor? Sure its not supposed to be talking on the phone to you especially if your close enough to hit it with a rock. What a dumba** motor.

I kinda doubt it can do any harm in there. It'd have to be tilted almost upside down and find an open exhaust port.

When you tilted it down you should be able to hear it fall down even if it didnt come out.

Are you sure it went in there? If so -- nice shot dude!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I sort of figured that. I just needed a little more expertise. Thanks Chiefy
