unidentified plug under dash

i have an 87 renken ski boat, i cant get it to start i am going to replace the coil anyway because it is leaking oil, but i cant get any fire to come through. my question is is this cigarrette lighter looking plug up under my ignition switch under the dash a kill swith plug if so how can i get one or can i bypass it the motor is a 4.3 OMC

Might just be a power outlet.

Do you have a 12v test light or multimeter? hook it up the positive lead to your purple wires at the coil and put the negative to ground. turn the key, if you get power, don't worry about a kill switch. BTW, if you have a kill switch, it will be mounted to the dash or shifter, it won't be under the dash.
