Up a "creek" without a ladder

I have a 2000 24' Fisher Pontoon and I use it on Alum Creek Lake in Ohio. I'm embarrassed to say that I lost my ladder. Its at the bottom of the lake. It was a folding 4 step ladder and I can't find any replacements. It has a 12" diameter from the center of the holes. Fisher boats (Rinker) don't make them anymore and no one has an exact 12" diameter ladder and I really don't want to drill more holes in my boat for a new ladder. Any suggestions?

I know you don't want to drill more holes, but this is an excellent ladder, we put it in the front of the boat, most of the holes are in the cross members under the boat, only two on the visable side.

You have three options.

You can search ebay for a used latter. Maybe someday one will pop up.

You can pay a custom fabricator several hundred dollars to build you a latter to your specifications.

You can drill new holes.

how deep , how cold and how far.. from oklahoma.. i scuba dive and have spent many weekends retrieving keys and other sorts that have fallen into the lake.. this might be an option to find someone in your area it it is not to deep of cold.. just my .02

I have the 3 step one and LOVE IT! Easy to install (2 minutes) and comfortable. Nice wide steps for my 5 year old and my Father (who needs a cane).

Gee, now I'm worried, I think they should make 'floaties' for them ( and tools too!) I believe that water is a powerful magnet for anything that is important and can't float!!!! I will now tie a rope to my ladder.

I have one like Tony's post it's great just that you have to store it some place and on a 24' that's no problem. I put a line on both of my ladders that are removable one is a sissor style the other is just like this. I have a 4 step and it's so sturdy. I also have one on the back that is missing it's lower half ...I think lost to the water due to all the suction of the water pulling on it and I also have not been able to find the lower part to replace it.... good luck on your search.
