For those who don't know I am a new pontoon owner. Not a new boatman but my first pontoon. She's a 1999 Godfrey with a 40hp Honda.
Well after some maintenance cleanup and making ready we have been enjoying out new boat immensely. Adjustments to the carbs helped allot, a new water pump kit, along with a fuel filter/separator and a multitude of other minor things.
Being use to V-hulls all my life this was and is a change. Speed is not a pontoons selling point :)
But speed is not what we were looking for this time. Cruising up the rivers here and out into the gulf this is quite fast enough.
We named her today. "Yankee Girl" is now at her dock.
I wanted to thank the people here for the tips, and help. It made the learning process just a little easier.
