In reference to my previous post here http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=222131 I just got a call back from the shop that is fixing the problem for me this time. You'd never guess what it is!
It's yet ANOTHER faulty VRO.
This will be the 2nd VRO that I have had on there in 2 months. The first one tested bad immediately after installation, so I returned it for warranty replacement, and this one went bad within 2 trips to the water. The tech tested my vacuum switch, as did I, and ruled that out. He then went to the VRO, and found it to be bad. The thing is that that particular one was just under 2 months old!
I guess it's a good thing they have these under warranty!
My headaches are cured for now.
She purrs like a kitten, and idles a lot smoother since the carburetor rebuild and adjustment.
