Updated pressure control valve kit

I purchased the updated pressure control valve kits for my 2003 200 HPDI. I was told the mushroom round end gets installed in towards the powerhead and the springs get installed on the cross ends of the valve. Then I found a diagram on the Yamaha web site that shows the opposite. What is the correct installation?
