Updated Shift Interupter Shwitch? Does somebody have a picture or other info.

Hi All,

I have a 79' Alpha One and 470.

I see that a updated shift interupter is available. This requires a new shift mounting plate and new trim pump.

Does anyone know of any additional info or pictures of the new plate/mounting configuration? I found this kit on www.Sterndrives.com

trim pump has no bearing on the shift interupter. guessing your switch went bad and you want to update to the new plunger type.

The trim pump needs to be replaced because the new plate and linkage does not carry the reverse hydraulic "gate valve". See the mentioned website. The new style pump has this built in.


Again, anybody ever seen this "new" setup.
