I have a 17 Proline with an old 150 xr2 Black Max and would like to upgrade to Quicksilver 19p SS used. The sites including Mercury don't give enough info to just go on eBay and bid. One I've found 1 (50m) nearby on Craigslist is a 14x19 mirage RH that sounds like it might fit. The current one is a 17 p aluminum 3 blade with the rubber torque hub by quicksilver. Ezen

What RPMs is the current prop running at? Set up boat/motor, engine at standard height or raised?

It's turning 5400 at 35. I don't known what the error is in either one. It literally pops up on plane with the 17 pitch. The prop looks good from a line on the keel and doesn't cavitate. It will handle a 19. I went over and bought the Mirage this morning with a money back if I can't get the hub to fit. Next stop is the boat and some research on Mirage hubs. The owner said it came off a 1990 Black Max and mine is a 1985 xr2. Any info an would be appreciated

Purchased the 14x19 Stainless this morning and put on to see what parts I need to hold it on. The thrust washer on the front fits perfect. It must be the pre Flo torq and the old aluminum is the new Flo torq. Whatever the reason it fits and I plan to ry it out tomorrow. The reason I want SS is the sand in Cotawatchee bay eats the aluminum after few trips. I spend most of my time on the Minnkota 101 but burn some gas when I hear the reds are on anywhere including the Gulf. Is there anything I should be aware of before I go out. Thanks Ezen
