First thing I'm going to do when we take delivery of our sweetwater toon I plan to upgrade the sound system. Planning to upgrade speakers to Polk db651, add a Polk 10" sub, and a 5 channel amp. My only dilemma is we're is the best place for the sub? Below is the link to pics of the layout. Please share.

Re: Upgrading sound system

Get the Infinity 612M speakers instead. Better power handling and cleaner overall sound with an amp than the "everybody has them " Polks'.
Put the sub in a box under one off the seats. then you can remove it when it's time to store the boat...errrrr..... toon.

Newer toons I've seen are putting the sub under the helm.

+1 on the infinity speakers. I have two 6x9's and they pump out more then enough for my 25' boat with plenty of bass response. I plan on adding two more to the front for better distribution, but the idea I needed a sub is gone with these speakers.

I paired it with a Clarion head unit and they are a good pair.
