Hi everyone, I have ordered the bits I need to add power steering to my boat, 2004 alpha one gen 2 and a 3.0. Where does the power steering oil cooler mount? The back of the engine block or the transom bracket? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

I've seen them in different locations from, under the engine mounted to the port side motor mount, to on the back of the engine across the top. My suggestion is find the hose coming from the outdrive pump going to the thermostat housing. Cut the hose and put the cooler in line. Suggest putting it under the engine so during winterization you can pull the drain plug and drain the cooler and hose.

Need your engine serial number to see this better as they have different designs but It should mount or maybe already mounted? to the rear of the engine since the water inlet hose looks to be formed to go to a cooler first before going to the thermostat housing like seen both in the link and photo below on the standard 3.0 cooling system.
