Upper/Lower Unit Quad Ring

Quick question. Does the quad ring for the oil passage between the upper and lower units have to be installed dry? Normally I join the two halves comlpetely empty but I had to make a correction and didn't let all of the oil drain from the upper unit before reinstalling so oil dripped all over the sealing surfaces during installation. Dont want a leak. Maybe Im just being paranoid but I figured Id err on the side of caution. Thank you.

The quad ring is usually glued in with any gasket adhesive. But that is only to ensure it stays where it should. If its there you are fine.

Thank you for the reassurance. I instilled a bit of doubt in myself after having to tear the drive down to fix a mistake I made. Needed to check my work here to be safe, lol.
