Has anyone here ever replaced the gasket on their upright freezer? Mine needs replacing and they dont make a factory replacement for it any longer. The freezer works like a champion just needs a door gasket on it. I can get a universal cut to fit magnet seal gasket with with two corners made and glued together.

My question is...what do yall think would be the best adhesive to use to seal the other two corners together after I cut them to fit?

ef, one time the gasket on the fridge came loose. In a pinch, I taped it with some of that 'fiber' tape that you have to cut. (don't know what it's called). Fiqured it would last me thru the weekend. Wound up lasting for several years. Then I just retaped it. It was on the bottom and no one could see it.

efhenry.....isn't your seal being held on by metal stripping?(sort of have to lift the seal a bit to see it). failing that, any repair shop that does applicance work should be able to tell you what to use and also sell it to you. Did mine not long ago but I didn't need glue. It had the metal stripping and was easy to do. Good luck.
