I'm putting the whole outdrive back on my 1987 Rinker V-180, with an OMC Cobra outdrive. Can I use "Permatex #2" or "RTV" sealant on the gasket instead of "OMC Gasket Sealing Compound" ? I'm out in the boonies and it's what I have (permatex and RTV),....unless I wait days till I get to a place that might or might not have the OMC sealant.
