Used boat/swapped motor question...

I'm looking to upgrade my boat for a while, and have finally found one that is in my price range and the type of boat I'm looking for. It's a 1994 Baja Islander 188. Boat is in great shape for the year. My only hang-up is that the original 305 was swapped out with a 350. To the present owner's knowledge, it was a rebuilt block that was installed. I don't know much about the mercruiser outdrives, but are they all the same regardless of the engine size?? Should anything within the outdrive been upgraded when the swap was done? And, of course, any advice as to what else to look for would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Don't worry, its fine. The 350 only makes 30 or so more horsepower. Nothing needs to be changed in the drive.

My Wellcraft had a engine swap from a 305 to a 350 mag... all bolt ons from 305 went on the 350, this is a common swap for 305 replacements, just be sure the exhaust manifolds are in good shape and the rest of motor Just has you should with any used boat.
