Used Gearcase

do you know if I can put a gearcase from a Rude 70hp, 1977 to a Rude 1996 60hp?

What should be done to fix them togeter?

everyone must be on vacation this month!

you can look on this page...i am sure it isnt 100% and there are interchanges that probably could be made..that arent listed...

for one, you really need LOTS more information to give to get a good answer..some 60 hp were 2 cylinders and some are three cylinders..

the model numbers of each motor would help

but i dont even see a 1977 70 HP listed there!!!
