Thanks MGuckin - great info on props. For those still wondering why powerboats tend to be right-hand drive, the following diagram (taken from your link) shows how the torque of clockwise turning props causes a downward force on the port side. This is counteracted by the downward force of the skipper on starboard...<br /><br />

<br /><br />...and I thought it was just to make us Kiwis feel at home (same side as our cars in NZ).
