I have not found any guidance here on using the searches. None of the standard operators, wildcards and such, seem to work. For example, "dim fishfinder" results in dozens of posts or entries, each containing either "dim" and "fishfinder", or one of the two. "dim NEAR fishfinder" brings up dozens and dozens. The same with "dim W/* fishfinder".

I've looked all over and can find no instructions for using the search feature.

Why don't you just start a new thread ask your specific question. Be sure to include make and model of the depthsounder as dimming them varies between manufacturers.

I was just using that as an example, but I will start a new thread about it. I know it's probably been answered here before, but I cannot find it, due to the huge number of results a query draws. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. I had the same results looking for an answer about a trolling motor bearing. Can you imagine how many times "trolling", "motor", and "bearing" have been used here? That's how many results you get.

I really figured there were some instructions somewhere that I was overlooking.

Thanks,

Go up to the top of this post, a little below the iboats logo on the blue nav bar, click on FAQ, when the next page opens click on General Forum Usage, then on the next page click on Searching Forums and Threads
