1990 Johnson/Evinrude V6 gearcase rebuild reassembly
This is not supposed to be a how-to and it does not cover every single step but hopefully it will help anyone who finds themselves staring blankly at the manual's occasionally vague and ambiguous steps or when the lab-like pictures in the manual didn't show quite what I would have liked to have seen. It's basically what I found myself looking for but unable to find while I was doing this.
The pictures are in order. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the disassembly. Maybe next time.

), I ended up rebuilding another I had on hand which had sprung a leak at some point in the past. Covered in the thread that led up to this so I just pulled that pic down for the sake of clarity.
