V6 Yamaha 04 2stroke, wont go above 2400 rpm

My yamaha 04 V6 150 won't go above 2400 rpm (only in gear though). In neutral it goes past 2400 rpm. I believe it has to do with the temperature sensor although there are no alarms going off.

If anyone has any experience with this problem, thank you for your help.

I guessing the Screen in the VST is clogged. Big time Fuel restriction.

Think you could give a little more information ....such as the model number of the engine.....would help a lot for those here to help you. is it carbed or hpdi...makes a difference in kowing exactly what you have and where to begin
