Re: Value of boat

I don't know if you have a publication called Boat Trader in Cal. If not look for something like it in your local convenience store. It is a pulp magazine with pictures and info on boats for sale.

Boat prices (for both the seller and buyer) are very emotional and location dependent. For example I might look at your rig and be in awe of all the work you have done and be willing to pay a premium. I might also say to myself that is a 35 year old motor and while the boat looks OK it probably needs a new floor, stringers and a transom.

Re: Value of boat

Tough to say....seems like you never get back what you put into it. I think a boat is worth what someone is willing to pay. Some guys will look at nada guides prices, but those prices are pretty much worthless.

I agree with SoLittle...its all in the eye of the beholder. location is also a big issure......I will add however that time of year can be an issue as well, but seeing as u are in california that may not be as much of an issue
