you are not going to like what i have to say.

no matter the perfect condition, you have a 29 year old boat, and a 14 year old motor.

some of the things you have done are maintenance items, some are your wants and luxuries. unfortunately, they do not always add to the value, compared to cost.

i would not pay more than $2,000 for it, and that would be the high end.

Thanks for your reply. I know it does have the age But it truely is in perfect running condition had new powertilt pump put on they said they could not belive how clean the motor was and that the transome was like new.thought that maybe 2,500 would be fair.I understand what you are saying.I cold go and put 2,000 in it today dosent mean it will be worth 4,000. thanks again

Yeah in todays market, there is a deluge of used boats being sold off for really low pricing..Anything even seemingly "over priced" to a savvy boat buyer won't move..

Best of luck to ya though..Heck If I knew she was 100% reliable, I'd keep her:D

The thing to think about is that your competition may be cheaper, but do they look, smell and act like junk. Yes there are a deluge of boats out there, but lots of them are wore out junk and need rebuilt top to bottom. Price yours a little high and see what happens - if no results then reconsider your price.

Re: value of boat

I agree. The boat is going to get you maybe 3000 bucks from the one guy that is looking for that exact boat, much less than the rest of us looking at a nice boat among the rest.

I've seen plenty of "restored" boats on craigslist with prices ranging from 2-3000 and every one of them "looks" good, but after reading up on some of the hack work that can be done to make a boat "look" good, I'm always wary even of a super clean boat. The sale on something like that is only going to be made by the face to face communication with the owner.

If you are an honest person and give off that vibe, then you may be able to coax a little more out of the sale of the boat, instead of having someone try to talk you down on the price. At least, that's where I'd start at as a prospective buyer. I'll pay full price if I'm convinced it's worth it.

When was the transom done?

If its original its probably due.
When looking at boats I could care less about rugs and seats, the transom and stringers are another matter.

If you're looking to get some money back out of it then it often makes more sense to sell items seperately, such as the electronics and engine.
