Valve adjustment

I am putting my 140hp 4 cylinder back together and would like to know a few things. When I put the head back I have number 1 at TDC on the compression stroke and can adjust intake and exhaust valves. But how do I know how far to turn the crank in order to adjust the rest of the valves? Any help would be appreciated.<br /><br />Mike Ready

Turn the crank exactly 1/2 turn from number 1 TDC then adjust cylinder 3. <br /><br />Another 1/2 turn (timing mark should return to TDC) and adjust cylinder 4. <br /><br />Another 1/2 turn and adjust cylinder 2. <br /><br />Another 1/2 turn and you should be back at TDC for cylinder 1.<br /><br />Turn Clockwise, or as if you were tightening a bolt on the center of the crank.
